I like to share this inspirational video about Nick Vujicic, a man born without any limbs. As you will see from his video, despite his limitations, his aspirations and spirit are much, much more unlimited than many of us who are physically normal.
I am very touched seeing Nick going about daily tasks like switching on the lights, brushing his teeth, combing his hair; things that most of us do easily and take for granted. Yet for a man with no hands and legs, it means so much just to be able to do these on his own. Nick’s intense desire to be independent and his best efforts to live a meaningful life, despite his physical limitations, touches and inspires me to the core.
Many of us should feel deeply ashame for our limiting beliefs that’s preventing us from living a full and meaningful life; in giving and contributing what we have. Compared to Nick, we have so much more physically; yet in spirit, we are much, much more limited.
Limiting beliefs prevent us from reaching our highest potential possible. It prevents us from contributing back to the world using what we have been blessed with, and in so doing living a truly meaningful life.
It is easy to blame others, the whole world, even God for whatever bad things that happen to us. It’s easy to say that those are not your fault, and that you’re the innocent victim of circumstances; but seriously, my friend, what good does that do you? Do you think such mentality will do Nick any good at all?
Nick is a living testimony of Stephen R. Covey’s 1st habit “Be Proactive”; the belief that whatever the circumstances, you have a choice in choosing your responses.
Whatever the circumstances, it is your responses that YOU CHOOSE that makes the difference of what you become and achieve. You give meaning to your life, the way YOU CHOOSE it to be.
My friend, if you feel like you’re in a rut today, I hope Nick’s video gives you a new perspective. I hope it inspires you the way it does for me.

Your blog remind me of how I want to live forever
It gives me goosebumps just thinking about death and the universe…there is so much we haven’t discover and so much mysteries *sigh*
Take care,
Sean
Yes Sean, I do wish for eternity sometimes.
There’s so much to learn, and so little that we know. That’s the same reason I’d named this blog “A Long, Long Road”. Maybe I should have named it “Neverending Road”.
I really have enjoyed a few of your posts that I have stumbled upon. I have also subscribed to your blog by rss.
Cheers!
